Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson and Justice Ann Walsh Bradley will present information on Wisconsin women who have been important to the history of Wisconsin. It will be followed by a question and answer period.

The program is sponsored by the La Crosse Tribune, LWV-La Crosse Area, AAUW La Crosse Branch, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and the La Crosse County Bar Association.

UW-L Centennial Hall, Hall of Nations The Truth-O-Meter, Half Truths & Pants on Fire: Hyperbole and Facts in American Pllitics. Bill Adair will speak at an evening program held at UW-L. Mr. Adair is the Editor of PolitiFact and he is the Washington Bureau Chief for the Tampa Bay Times. He has worked in Washington since 1997 and has covered Congress, the White House, the Supreme Court, national politics and aviation safety. PolitiFact won a Pulitizer Prize in 2009.

The program is free and open to the public.

Radisson Hotel Who Owns the Water?. Mark Schultz will speak to the topic of "Who Owns the Water?" Mark was chosen as the Tribune Person of the Year for his involvement with the Mississippi River and many other environmental issues relating to water and land use. He was a Community Development Agent for the UW Extension Service for 22 years. He has a unique confluence of knowledge of both the natural world and the political process. He currently is a Supervisor on the Onalaska Town Board.
